Industrial Automation Infrastructures

Shelly Industrial Automation Infrastructure Wonderware, an operating unit of Invensys plc, today announced the launch and availability of the FactorySuite A2 (squared) (TM) integrated software product series, which will provide automation and information solutions based on Invensys' ArchestrA(TM) software architecture.

The FactorySuite(R) Industrial Automation Application Server provides real-time data acquisition, alarm and event management, data manipulation services and collaborative engineering capabilities, which have been designed from the ground up for use across a broad range of industrial applications. Its primary benefits to industry include significantly reduced engineering time, lower cost of application ownership and maintenance, scalability, flexibility, and an extensible framework.

The "A2" Automation signifies the use of the ArchestrA architecture and represents a significant evolution of the popular FactorySuite product infrastructures family.

The Wonderware(R) Industrial Automation Application Server is the first product from Invensys to completely utilize the ArchestrA architecture. The Industrial Application Server provides an infrastructure for simplifying the development, deployment, maintenance and administration of distributed automation applications.

The release of the Industrial Automation Application Server is a significant milestone because it is the first software product that is built 100-percent on Invensys' ArchestrA plant automation and information architecture. The new Wonderware Industrial Application Server leverages ArchestrA's core technology, which extends Microsoft.NET application services to provide a new class of application server for the manufacturing and process industries.

"With the release of the Industrial AutomationApplication Server, Wonderware enters a new era in engineering productivity for manufacturing information systems," said Mike Bradley, president of Invensys Wonderware. "Already, Industrial Automation Application Server beta testers are very excited, with approximately 80 customers in industries such as oil and gas, food and beverage, utilities, and transportation who are gearing up for major expansions or retrofit projects. These customers anticipate significant Automation engineering savings and improved productivity. In addition, the flexibility and scalability that the Industrial AutomationApplication Server offers will enable lower commissioning and maintenance costs that could not have been accomplished without it."

As a FactorySuite A2 component, the Industrial Automation Application Server is tightly integrated with the entire line of FactorySuite software tools which includes the following applications:

-- InTouch(R) visualization software
-- IndustrialSQLAutomation Server(TM) real-time plant historian
-- ActiveFactory(TM) Automation reporting and trend tools
-- DT Analyst(TM) downtime analysis software
-- QI Analyst(TM) SPC analysis software
-- SuiteVoyager(TM) industrial portal
-- InBatch(TM) Automation flexible batch management software
-- InTrack(TM) Automation resource and work-in-process (WIP) tracking
-- Device integration tools via I/O Servers, DA Servers or OPC

The Industrial Automation Application Server provides significant benefits to existing SCADA, HMI and supervisory systems.
Many customers will benefit from the Industrial automation infrastructure Application Server because they do not have to update or replace their supervisory applications to use it, but can simply add it as an information layer. Paired with Wonderware's IndustrialSQL Server historian, the Industrial Automation Application Server is a powerful and efficient common event and calculation engine that can manage large, real-time manufacturing intelligence systems used for quality analysis, production and process reporting.

Wonderware's Industrial Automation Automation Application Server is ideal for discrete manufacturing, process plants, remote SCADA operations, utilities or any hybrid combination of these types of operations. It also offers distinct advantages for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance projects and manufacturing information management systems.

An industrial automation system uses a process through complex infrastructures that a company like ati and Emerson specilializes in ai services. Many people look to Asia for an industrial automation solution , but the product or software can be found in here in a USA factory too in places like Cincinati or Georgia.
